Gray Catbird

Dumetella carolinensis

The gray catbird is a mimic thrush, and some are adept at immitating the songs of other birds. This grey bird has a black cap, black tail and wing tips, and a redish-brown under-tail. It can be found throughout southern Canada, and lives on insects, seeds and berries.
