Calliope Hummingbird

As the smallest North American bird, the calliope hummingbird is distinguishable by the red streaked necklace on the throat of the male, by his greenish flanks, and by the female's cinnamon-tinged underbelly. This bird tends to be found along streams in montane meadows and canyons.
