Fernald's Braya

Braya fernaldii

Fernald's braya is a perennial found in Newfoundland. The plant prefers disturbed areas as well as limestone. Because road construction has destroyed much of Newfoundland's limestone barrens, the braya is at risk. No protection exists for the plant, although much of the population is on crown land.
