Blackfin Cisco

Coregonus nigripinnis

The blackfin cisco is thought to only exist in Lake Nipigon at this time, although it used to inhabit lakes Superior, Huron, Michigan, and Ontario. The present status is not clear, but was is known is that the disappearance is due to over-fishing.
