Shorthead Sculpin

Cottus confusus

In Canada, the shorthead sculpin is found only in the Flathead River in British Columbia. A coal extraction project in the area is the greatest threat for the fish because the many disturbances could seriously degrade its habitat. It is currently unprotected and no recovery effort has been put forward.
