Hairy Prairie-clover

Dalea villosa villosa

The hairy prairie-clover is a member of the pea family. This perennial is confined to one site in Saskatchewan and two sites in southwestern Manitoba. Its habitat consists of sand dunes and mixed grasses. Grazing and fires are the main limiting factors for the species, as well as dune stabilization. The prairie-clover currently receives no legal protection.
