Canada's Species   Species at risk

Bird's-foot Violet

Viola pedata

The Canadian populations of bird's-foot violet are limited to southern Ontario. They are found in savannahs within deciduous forests. Competition from other species is a problem, but the main limiting factor is habitat destruction from agricultural development.
