Western Silver-leaf Aster

Virgulus sericeus

In Canada, the western silver-leaf aster is found in Ontario and in southeastern Manitoba.It grows in wet prairies, open oak savannas, and glacial sand and gravel outwashes. Loss of habitat is a concern for this aster, but many of its limiting factors are not known. There is no recovery effort at this time.
