Soapweed

Yucca glauca

In Canada, there are three populations of soapweed; two in southern Alberta and one in southern Saskatchewan. This large perennial is found in the shallow soil of coulees. Loss of habitat is the main threat for the species. It has no specific legislation to protect it.
