Crepidotus cinnabarinus

This rare gilled mushroom is found in clusters around trees, particularly poplar and beech. It begins as a wide, convex mushroom but flattens out with age; the surface is dry, bright cinnabar-red. There is only a short stalk and sometimes no stalk at all.
