Chrysopids are common in grass, weeds and on foliage of trees and shrubs. The larvae feed mainly on aphids and are called aphidlions. Some of them pile debris on their backs and carry it around to camouflage themselves. Common lacewings are bright greenish in colour with clear, glassy wings and golden or copper-coloured eyes.
