Common Raven Corvus corax
This imposing, all-black bird is most heavily distributed in the western and northern parts of its range, and its low, croaking call is familiar on the west coast of British Columbia. It is significantly larger than the various species of crows, and exhibits more tousled throat and forehead feathers.
