Swamp Rose Mallow

Hibiscus moscheutos

The swamp rose mallow is a perennial found in southern Ontario. It grows in open, coastal marshes, but it is also sometimes found in open wet woods, thickets and drainage ditches. Development of coastal wetlands is causing the rapid disappearance of habitat for the swamp rose mallow.
