German Cockroaches, Wood Roaches and Allies

Family Blattellidae

These cockroaches feed on anything edible. Wood roaches are the only native Canadian cockroaches and are found in forested areas. Blattellidae are small, slender and strongly sclerotized (tough-skinned). They have long, slender and spiny legs and the hing legs are longer than the others. They usually have well-developed wings.
