Cimbicid Sawflies

Cimbicidae are phytophagous; the larvae are all external leaf feeders. These are large, robust insects with clubbed antennae. Many species resemble bumble bees. Unlike many Hymenoptera, the abdomen is broadly joined to the thorax.
