Phantom Orchid

Cephalanthera austinae

In Canada, the phantom orchid is found only in British Columbia. It can measure up to 65 cm in height and grows in coniferous forests. The main limiting factor for the plant is habitat destruction or modification for residential or comercial developments. The orchid receives no legislative protection.
