Vananda Creek Stickleback

Gasterosteus sp.

The Vananda Creek stickleback is restricted to Texada Island, between Vancouver Island and mainland British Columbia. Limiting factors for the fish are not well understood, but there are potential threats from preying birds and competing fish. Presently, the Vananda Creek stickleback and its habitat are not specifically protected.
