Goldenseal

Hydrastis canadensis

Goldenseal is a perennial herb found in southwestern Ontario. It grows in rich moist areas of deciduous forests in the western portion of the Mixedwood Plains ecozone. Urban and agricultural development are causing the rapid loss of habitat.
