Deepwater Sculpin

Myoxocephalus thompsoni

The deepwater sculpin is found near the bottom of cold and deep lakes covering a large area of Canada from the Northwest Territories through the prairies and into Ontario. It is believed that this species was extirpated from Lake Ontario because of exposure to DDT. There is no protection specific to the deepwater sculpin.
