Water-plantain Buttercup

Ranunculus alismaefolius alismaefolius

This perennial plant occurs on the sothernmost tip of Vancouver Island. The water-plantain buttercup inhabits lowland meadows with stands of garry oak. Habitat destruction, human traffic, and fire suppresion, are all limiting factors for this species.
