Provancher's Fleabane

Erigeron philadelphicus provancheri

In Canada, Provancher's fleabane is found only in southern Quebec. This small perennial is only found on rock or gravel located along rivers where there are freshwater tides, spray, ice and floods, and where the shore is treeless. Loss of habitat, due to landfilling, and construction of ports, docks, railroads and other structures, is the main limiting factor for Provancher's fleabane. An oil spill would threaten the Canadian populations.
