Blackstripe Topminnow

Fundulus notatus

In Canada, the blackstripe topminnow is found only in one watershed of southwestern Ontario. The size of the population depends on the amount of aquatic vegetation in the stream. The drainage of wetlands may adversely affect the habitat of this species by changing the flow pattern of the waters of streams and creeks.
