Ivory Gull

Pagophila eburnea

The ivory gull is sometimes found on the Great Lakes, but is more at home in the arctic, where it even spends its winters at sea. It is black-footed, with a dark beak bearing a yellow tip. The juveniles have greyish faces and black tail bands, but mature to an all-over white.
