Shortnose Cisco

Coregonus reighardi

The shortnose cisco only occurs in Lake Huron, after disappearing from Lakes Michigan and Ontario. Overfishing and predation by sea lamprey are the main limiting factors for the fish. There is no protection or recovery plan in place.
