Drooping Trillium

Trillium flexipes

The drooping trillium is a perennial herb that is confined in Canada to the western half of the Carolinian Forest zone in southwestern Ontario. The warmer climate in this zone is a benefit for the plant, which also needs sandy, non-acidic soil. Habitat destruction is the main threat to the drooping trillium.
