Smooth Goosefoot

Chenopodium subglabrum

The smooth goosefoot is an annual that occurs throughtout the Canadain prairies. It inhabits active sand dunes, sandhills, and river banks. Grasslands prairies are an environment which is threatened by human activities such as agriculture, dune stabilization, grazing and fire control. As such, the goosefoot is vulnerable to habitat loss.
